Using delay line interferometry (DLI), the Optoplex DPSK
demodulator converts phase modulation to amplitude modulation over the
C & L bands for data rates of 2.5, 10 or 40Gbps.
- Athermal design
- Low temperature dependent frequency shift (TDFS)
- Low polarisation dependent frequency shift (PDFS)
- Low insertion & polarisation dependent loss (PDL)
- Passive (locked to ITU grid) or tunable
- Telcordia GR-1221 qualified

Converts differential quaternary phase
modulation (DQPSK) to amplitude modulation over the C & L bands for
data rates of 2.5, 10 or 40Gbps. Doubles the data rate for a given
transmission rate.
- Athermal design
- Low temperature dependent frequency shift (TDFS)
- Low polarisation dependent frequency shift (PDFS)
- Low insertion & polarisation dependent loss (PDL)
- Fully and semi-tunable versions (independent I & Q arms)
- Telcordia GR-1221 qualified

For coherent signal demodulation for either homodyne or heterodyne
detection, the broadband device takes the signal and a local
oscillator and generates four output signals, S+L, S-L, S+jL, S-jL
|
 |
QPSK Mixer
Polarisation diversified optical hybrid mixes a signal with a local
oscillator using a passive compact free space bulk optics module.

A step-phase interferometer design can be used as a multiplexer or
a demultiplexer to combine or separate odd and even channels with
100-200, 50-100 or 25-50GHz spacings. |
 |
Asymmetric Optical Interleaver
Allowing different passband widths for the odd and even channels
the Asymmetric Optical Interleaver provides all the features of the
Standard Interleaver with additional flexibility. |
