New SDI Video Aggregation
|
|
BBN International announces new solutions for aggregating and
transporting uncompressed SD/HD-SDI and DVB-ASI video signals. These
modules are part of the Microsens 10G platform and can be combined
with other functional modules. |
|
|
|
|
 |
- Transport of uncompressed digital video over fiber
- Long haul transport without signal degradation
- Efficient transport with aggregation of up to 24 SD-SDI (270
Mb/s), or DVB-ASI (270 Mb/s)
- Add and Drop or Drop and Continue for delivery to multiple sites
with only a single wavelength
|
|
The module is a part of MICROSENS 10G transport platform. It
aggregates up to three uncompressed SD-SDI video signals or up to
three DVB-ASI or any combination of the two. The line rate is 1.25 Gb/s
which is compatible with all of MICROSENS Gigabit Ethernet aggregation
modules. Access ports can autosense between SD-SDI or DVB-ASI traffic.
The module is hot-swappable and takes 2 slots in MICROSENS chassis. On
the Client side it uses coaxial BNC interfaces and on the Line side,
it uses SFP. An optional Optical Supervisory Channel (OSC) is
available for remote management. |

|
- 1+1 line protection
- XFP line interface or FFI interface (1550 nm [B&W] or DWDM line
interface)
- DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring)
- Client Side: 4 x Video interface via 750hm coaxial, 1 x GbE with
SFP interface, 1 x 100Mbase-T Ethernet with RJ45 plug
- Line Side: 2 x 10 GbE LAN frame format Line interface
- Remote Management with embedded l0Mb/s DCC
- TDM multiplex of 1GbE, 1 FE, 4 Video access
- 6 SD/HD-SDI ports over 1x10G line if GbE and FE are not required
- Hot-swap

The module is a part of MICROSENS 10G transport platform. It
aggregates up to four HD-SDI or SD-SDI with one GbE and on eFE on one
10 Gb/s wavelength. Multiple wavelengths can be muxed together with
WDM (Wave Division Multiplexing) and transported over fiber. Each
video port auto-senses between SDI, HD-SDI-PAL, HD-SDI-NTSC signals
and is individually configurable. The module is hot-swappable and
takes 3 slots in a MICROSENS chassis. On the Client side it uses
coaxial BNC interfaces for SDI ports, a standard RJ45 port for FE and
SFP for the GbE port. On the Line side, it uses XFP or FFI (40km, 60km
and 80kms B&W or DWDM) or tunable FFI interfaces.
The Aggregation and Transport module is also available with a
second Line interface that provides 1 + 1 protection. |
