Abstract

For protecting laser diodes from harmful back reflection, BBN International introduces the Optizone passive MMPLP.

The Multi-Mode Pump Laser Protector is a passive component which allows maximum transmission from a discrete fibre-coupled pump laser diode and blocks parasitic signals around the centre wavelength of the laser from being reflected back into the laser.

Pump laser centre wavelength: 915 or 980nm
Operating wavelength range: +/-15nm
Operating signal wavelength range: 1020~1120nm
Pump insertion loss: 0.3dB (typ.), 0.5dB (max.)
Backward signal attenuation: 35dB (typ.), 30dB (min.)
Optical Power: 6 or 10W (max.)
