Optoplex Optical Monitors

Optoplex Optical channel monitor (OCM) uses proprietary thin-film interference filter technology combined with a micro-actuator and high-speed electronics. Optical channel monitor is used to measure critical information data on optical transmission signals in DWDM networks for monitoring signal dynamics, determining system functionality, identifying performance change, and providing feedback for controlling network elements so as to optimise operational performance. In particular, Optoplex Optical channel monitor can automatically scan the C-, L- or C+L-band wavelength range and precisely measure channel wavelength, power, and optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR). See the following schematic diagram for OCM working principle.BBN International supplies Optoplex, fibre optics, fiber optics, optical monitor, channel

Optoplex Optical wavelength meter (OWM) uses proprietary thin-film interference filter in conjunction with Fabry-Perot cavity technology combined with a micro-actuator and high-speed electronics. Its working principle is schematically shown below. By comparison with Optical channel monitor / Optical performance monitor, the proprietary wavelength reference unit is introduced to ensure high precision wavelength measurements. Optoplex Optical wavelength meter is the only DWDM wavelength meter capable of measuring wavelengths of multi-lasers in DWDM networks over C-band and L-band wavelength range with a high accuracy better than that the wavelength locker can provide. For example, the device can simultaneously report 80 wavelength values of 80 channels at 50 GHz channel spacing with the wavelength accuracy ± 2 GHz. DPRAM, RS-232, or USB interfaces are available and OWM can be customised to meet specific requirements.BBN International supplies Optoplex, fibre optics, fiber optics, optical monitor, wavelength meter

Optoplex's portable spectrometer / portable near-infrared optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) / mini spectrometer is a valuable spectral module in the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) applications. Portable spectrometer acts as a stand-alone spectral engine, imaging and measuring, through a rapid and nondestructive process, a wide range of vapour, liquids and solids through transmission and diffuse reflection.
