100G Long Haul Muxponder Rack Module

MICROSENS has enhanced its 100G Product lines with the pluggable version of the 100G Transponder and 100G Muxponder.

Adding to the 1RU solution available since 2012, these new versions are compatible with EKINOPS chassis already installed in the field. This offers much more flexibility for new or greenfield network deployments or upgrades of existing MICROSENS systems.

The total capacity of the MSP3700 chassis can be tripled by moving from 10G to 100G products.

These new 100G modules are managed like any other module in an MICROSENS chassis, without need for additional power supply or management interface.

The 100G Muxponder is designed with 12 aggregation ports instead of the typical 10 ports offered by other manufacturers.

Where it does not make sense to multiplex lower rate services directly on the 100G Muxponder, due to aggregation port limits, the 10G flexible multiplexer can be plugged directly into ports on the 100G Muxponder, allowing for aggregation without an expensive fabric or another device.

2 Port GbE FC TDM Multiplexer Rack Module

The 2 port TDM module is part of the MICROSENS MSP 3000 Platform and is an ideal solution for service providers that offer Gigabit Ethernet and OC-48 services.

It occupies one slot in the MICROSENS Chassis and operates in two modes. In the first mode it aggregates and transports cost-effectively two GbE or GFC inputs over an OC-48/STM-16 line. In the second mode it is used as a CPE to transport OC-48 or STM-16 and has an OC-48/STM-16 interface on the client and line side.

This module offers optional 1+1 protection in both modes and accepts standard SFP optics. Using appropriate SFPs, the TDM card supports CWDM & DWDM and long haul transmission. The OC-48/STM-16 line interface is fully compatible with SONET/SDH equipment and STS-48c/AU4-16c and STS-24c/AU4-8c framing.

One of the MICROSENS 200G Metro Access module is a 2-port  muxponder module that aggregates 100GbE client interfaces to transport high bandwidth traffic more efficiently whether for data center connectivity, metro transport, customer router interconnection or just to increase the capacity and improve the efficiency of your fiber plant.

In parallel also a multiprotocol versions are available with up to 20 service which can be aggregated into 200G channel.

The 200G modules, based on 16QAM coherent optical modulation technology, doubles the maximum capacity per fiber pair compared with optical transport systems based on 100G while providing a significant reduction in power consumption on a per-10G basis. Deployable in both chassis of MSP3000 Platform, MICROSENS can deliver 400G of transport capacity in as little as 2RU or up to 1.2T in 7RU with industry-leading low power consumption of 0.65 watts per gigabit delivered.

The 200G module also provides investment protection as your capacity demands grow. Using the same hardware, the 200G module is capable of delivering 400G and even 1T in the future eliminating fork-lift upgrades, service disruption and additional CAPEX spend.

4 Port STM-1 TDM Multiplexer Rack Module

4 port STM-1 TDM Multiplexer module is a part of MICROSENS MSP 3000 Platform, a high performance and flexible carrier-class transmission system. The module is a bidirectional plug-in unit offering the aggregation and transport of up to 4 x OC-3/STM-1/ over one 1.25G line  or 1 x OC12/STM-4 over one 1.25G line. The 1.25G signal is compatible with other modules in the MICROSENS platform and can be aggregated again through the client ports of the higher speed TDM modules. This two step aggregation allows service providers to aggregate both GbE and TDM traffic on the same wavelength or aggregate up to 24 OC-3 circuits over one wave.

This module does not terminate the OC-3/STM-1 traffic and provides fully transparent transport. It utilizes standard SFP interfaces for the access and the line ports.

The TDM Multiplexer module occupies one slot in the MICROSENS chassis and is powered through the backplane of the chassis.

8 Port Multi-Rate TDM Multiplexer Module

The MICROSENS 8 port TDM family of modules are amongst the industries most flexible multi-protocol DWDM add drop multiplexers. These modules have the ability to multiplex any mix of 1 GbE, 1 Gig Fibre Channel, 2 Gig Fibre Channel, 4 Gig Fibre Channel, OC-12/STM-4, and OC-48/STM-16 up to to a total bandwidth of 10 gigabits per second.

These modules have eight client ports which can be used as inputs for these different service types. All client ports are software programmable and can be reprogrammed to a different client service in the field, on the fly, without any effect on traffic being carried by other ports on the cards.

This module comes in two variants, the MS430686M which also supports add-drop multiplexing (ADM) and the MS430687/8M which does not have ADM capability. The flexibility in these line cards provides the end user with a number of advantages.

First, enterprises and service providers can utilize these line cards without any need to understand or forecast the mix of different traffic types that will need to be supported in the future. Client ports can be programmed to the appropriate service type at the time the need for providing that service type arises. The flexibility of these modules provides the ultimate economy in wavelength utilization for complex applications that involve multiple service types.
